International business meetings at FIB 2026 open new opportunities for Brazilian machinery
CA, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Now in its 35th edition, the Bogotá International Industrial Fair (FIB) brings together machinery, equipment, capital goods, components, inputs and services serving a range of production chains, creating an environment that connects suppliers with buyers from across the industrial sector. It is within this business ecosystem, hosted at the Corferias exhibition center, that 11 Brazilian manufacturers will pursue new commercial opportunities, presenting an offering that includes automation, pumping, foundry, power generation, inspection, weighing, process technologies and sanitation solutions.
The companies will participate through the FIB 2026 International Business Meetings, held from September 28 to October 2, na Iniciative by Brazil Machinery Solutions in partnership with ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The mission connects Brazilian companies from nine industrial segments with the Latin American market through individual meetings with prospective buyers identified according to each participant’s business profile and solutions portfolio.
According to Patrícia Gomes, Executive Director of Foreign Markets at ABIMAQ, FIB provides favorable conditions for negotiations by bringing together buyers from different industrial value chains and suppliers of high value-added solutions in a single venue. “In the machinery and equipment industry, purchasing decisions typically involve technical analysis, adaptability and confidence in the supplier. Business meetings such as those at FIB shorten that path by putting Brazilian companies in front of buyers with identified demand and previously mapped commercial interest,” she said.
The mission will include Antares Acoplamentos, Coester Automação, Dynamic Aqua Science, EB Bombas, Flexaseal do Brasil, Microfusão do Brasil, Prensso Máquinas, SEMCO Tecnologia em Processos, STEMAC, Vanasa Multigas and VARPE Brasil. The companies operate in the food industry, compressed air and gases, quality control, pumps and motor pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial automation, machine tools and integrated manufacturing systems, engines, foundry and sanitation.
Gomes said this mix facilitates connections with buyers from different industries and increases the likelihood of matching Brazilian solutions with specific applications. “When different industrial segments participate in the same mission, we can pursue opportunities across a variety of production chains and present solutions suited to needs ranging from infrastructure and industrial utilities to process control and production equipment,” she said.
Meeting schedules will be organized through international matchmaking, with prospective buyers identified in advance based on the commercial objectives provided by participating companies. Participants will also have access to a Brazilian Business Center for meetings and support during the initiative, concentrating commercial activity around prescheduled meetings.
Third edition maintains focus on business
This will be the third edition of the FIB International Business Meetings, promoted by Brazil Machinery Solutions. The format was added to the program’s calendar after the pandemic, replacing the previous trade show booth model and focusing efforts on direct connections between manufacturers and buyers. In 2022, 12 Brazilian companies participated in 151 meetings, while the 2024 edition brought together 11 companies for 78 meetings.
Commercial results from previous editions also show that some negotiations continue after the trade show ends. In 2022, US$670,000 in business was recorded during the meetings, with an additional US$5.445 million projected over the following 12 months. In 2024, the volume of business generated during the initiative reached US$422,000, with another US$1.795 million projected for the subsequent period.
According to Gomes, this time frame reflects the contractual dynamics of the capital goods industry, where a transaction may require technical assessments, specification definition, payment terms and requirements analysis before a supply agreement is finalized. “A meeting during the trade show often represents the beginning of a negotiation that may continue for several months, particularly when industrial equipment is involved. That is why post-event follow-up is an important part of the commercial process and makes it possible to assess how the opportunities generated in Bogotá develop over time,” she said.
