Polish, Japanese PMs Meet in Tokyo for Talks on Regional Issues

(MENAFN) Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo on Wednesday to discuss regional developments and deepen cooperation across multiple areas, according to reports.

Tusk, who began a three-day visit to Japan on Monday, confirmed the meeting in a post on the social media platform X.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing broader regional security issues, amid growing international concerns over geopolitical tensions.

The two countries have recently expanded their strategic engagement. In February last year, their foreign ministers signed a five-year action plan aimed at advancing their long-standing “strategic partnership,” which includes wide-ranging cooperation and support for Ukraine, a country bordering NATO member Poland.
